The Barnes Foundation for Arts & Sciences understands that effective initiatives are critical to our mission.

We develop educational programming to train technology leaders, provide tools and resources so that communities can stay abreast of technology trends, partner with other organizations, service providers, and funders to ensure that our initiatives receive the support they need. We partner with experts and connect participants directly with local service providers, enabling cross-sector collaboration and problem solving for greater impact.

K-12 S.T.E.A.M. Enrichment

We develop lessons that bring together STEAM disciplines and concepts through creative hands-on projects and experiments. We provide programs which train teachers in how to bring these techniques to the classroom as well as programs for K12 students directly. Science and technology, are powerful tools for young people to understand—and truly appreciate—the world around them.

Community Outreach

We partner with, businesses, educational institutions, churches, and residents in a collaborative effort to
develop and implement programs that empower individuals and families. Our goal is to develop facilities which better the quality of life for the community. The development includes office space, retail space, learning centers, affordable and mixed-use housing.

College Internship

Non-profit internships are the best way to bridge the gap between going to school and landing great job.
They offer a crucial pathway to future employment by learning the ropes from more experienced professionals.
We provide intern opportunities to eligible college and university students enrolled in four-year institutions majoring in  STEAM disciplines.

Diversity in S.T.E.A.M.

As part of our commitment to advancing STEAM at all levels, we implement a wide range of education programs and recruiting activities. We believe strategic investment in education will help build a nation of diverse, talented individuals. We work to develop initiatives that are accommodating to the needs and differences of undeserved communities.

Volunteers really are the backbone of our organization. They help with fundraising, administrative tasks, operations, and they help spread the word about the mission of the organization. The time, passion and talent given by these generous people makes the difference when it comes to creating impact for our communities and the world.
